Crowthorne Parish Council Recreational Facilities

Morgan Recreation Ground: The refurbishment of the play areas began in 2010 with the introduction of new and exciting play equipment for children of all ages.

The facility now features a large rope swinger, two trampolines, a cradle swing, rock stack and a superb range of fitness equipment.

The project now is in its second year and has seen the further installation of a new slide, hydraulic gate and security lighting. The final phase will be the installation of Tiger Mulch to enhance the overall area.

The Walter Recreation Ground and Circle Hill: Both sites are situated on the boundary between Crowthorne Parish and Wokingham Without Parish. The Walter Recreation Ground is an open ground with a small woodland area to the rear. Circle Hill boasts some beautifully established trees and an abundance of wildlife and fauna.

The areas are idyllic for dog walkers or those wanting to burn a bit more energy and each has bins and seating provided. The ancient Roman Road from London to Silchester originally known as the 'Devils Highway' ran directly through Circle Hill and is shown on Roque's Map of 1761. Both pieces of land are held in trust and administered by Trustees from Crowthorne and Wokingham Without Parish Councils.
